Nicolas Becker stands as a multifaceted virtuoso in the world of cinematic sound, donning the roles of sound designer, foley artist, and composer. His auditory craftsmanship is highly sought-after on the global film stage, with each project bearing the hallmark of his unique sonic signature.

Becker's passion extends beyond mere creation; he is an avid sound collector, amassing a vast library of auditory treasures that serve as a rich reservoir for his work.

In his approach to sound design, Becker crafts bespoke microphone setups tailored to each project, a method that intertwines his work with the realm of contemporary art.

Beyond his primary roles, Becker lends his expertise as an R&D consultant for a myriad of studios and audio software companies. He also frequently shares his knowledge with the next generation, lecturing at film schools.

In a recent accolade, Becker clinched the Oscar for Best Sound Mixing in April 2021 for his work on 'Sound of Metal', directed by Darius Marder.
