Photographer

Kena Lorenzini was born in Chile in 1959. A psychologist by profession, she developed an important body of work as a photographer, part of a generation that sought to depict the grey face of Chile during the military dictatorship. During these years, she worked as a photojournalist for the weekly magazine Hoy and the magazine Análisis, through which she collected important photographic archives that she compiled in her book Fragmento fotográfico, arte, narración y memoria. Chile 1980-1990. The catalogue contains over 120 images, accompanied by a text by Patricia Verdugo.

The originals of much of his photographic work taken during the dictatorship were donated by the author to the National Historical Museum.
