Gerald Fox crafts documentary portraits of contemporary artists for both television and cinema, operating primarily out of the UK. His films have garnered accolades from institutions such as BAFTA, the Royal Television Society for Best Arts Film, the Grierson for Best Arts Documentary, and the Montreal Art Film Festival, among others. Some of his most iconic subjects include Gilbert and George, Claes Oldenburg, Christian Boltanski, Marc Quinn, Gerhard Richter, Robert Frank, Bill Viola, and Natalia Osipova. Since 2007, Fox has ventured into the world of art installations, showcasing large-scale and multi-screen video installations globally.
